Bishop O'Rourke Library Catalog
The Liber (Latin for 'book') catalog allows students, staff, and other patrons to search the library's collection, place holds, and renew books from any computer with internet access.

How do I renew my books?
Your books are due back at the library, but you're not yet finished with them. No worries! You can contact the librarian (library@sjcnc.org) and she will happily renew your books for you. You can also set up your Liber patron account. First, click the "Login" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. A pop-up box will ask for your patron barcode and password. Click on the link that says "Need help logging in?". You will then enter your patron barcode and the email address you used to register. When you submit this information, the system will send you an email with a link to setting up your password. You can then use this password, with your patron barcode, to log into the system.
Once you have logged in, click on "My Account." Under "My Account," you can do many things, including updating your contact information, changing your login password, and renewing the books you have checked out. Simply check the boxes next to the items you want to renew, and then click the "Renew Selected" button at the bottom of the page.
What about the books stored in the locked cabinets? Can I access them?
In the back of the library there are three metal cabinets containing books. Many of these books have been pulled from our circulating collection because they are too fragile to be checked out. In some cases, the books belong in special collections (such as the Bishop O'Rourke Library and the Msgr Duncan Library). These items are labeled in the catalog either as "secure shelving" or as belonging to a specific collection. If you would like to access any of the materials in the secure shelving, simply contact the librarian (library@sjcnc.org) and set up a time when you can come in to view the materials at the library.
