On Good Friday, April 7, Living Stations of the Cross will be held on the University of Illinois Main Quad at 12:00 PM. Meet on the Main Chapel steps at 11:45 AM, or behind Foellinger Auditorium at 12:00 PM.
Mass & Sacrament Schedule
Mass will be celebrated in the Main Chapel:

Monday-Friday at 12:05 PM and 8:00 PM
- Saturdays at 5:00 PM (Vigil)
- Sundays at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM (Traditional), 5:00 PM (Praise & Worship), and 9:00 PM (Candlelight)
Reconciliation will be available:
- 9:00 PM Monday-Thursday
- 4:00 PM Saturday
Adoration is available Monday-Thursday following the 8:00 PM Daily Mass, approximately 8:30 PM-10:00 PM
A Novus Ordo Latin Mass will be celebrated on the first Saturday of each month during the Spring semester in the Chapel of the Four Evangelists located on the lower level underneath the Main Chapel. These Masses will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on:
- April 1
- May 6
NOTE: The Main Chapel will not be open other than during scheduled Mass, Reconciliation, and Adoration times as listed above.
The Prayer Chapel located on the Lower Level will be open to the public for personal prayer from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily, accessible via the Armory St. courtyard entrance. (The Prayer Chapel is accessible to Newman Hall residents 24-hours per day.)
Mass Intentions
At St. John's Catholic Newman Center, Mass intentions can be scheduled for the repose of the soul of a loved one, for birthday blessings for friends and family, or for special intentions. Mass intentions are only $10 and the best gift you can give someone!
