Mass & Sacrament Schedule

Mass is celebrated:

  • Monday-Friday at 12:05 PM and 5:00 PM

  • Saturdays at 5:00 PM (Vigil)
  • Sundays at 10:30 AM (Traditional), 5:00 PM (Praise & Worship), and 9:00 PM (Candlelight)

Reconciliation is available:

  • 4:00 PM Daily (Monday-Sunday)

Adoration takes place:

  • 4:00 PM Weekdays (Monday-Friday) (beginning Monday, August 22)

  • 9:00 PM every other Wednesday

The Chapel is open for prayer:

  • Daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM

 

A Novus Ordo Latin Mass will be celebrated on the first (or second) Saturday of each month during the Fall semester in the Chapel of the Four Evangelists located on the lower level underneath the Main Chapel. These Masses will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on:

  • Saturday, December 10

 

Winter Break
Mass & Sacrament Schedule

The Winter Break Mass & Sacrament schedule will be in effect from Saturday, December 17 through Saturday, January 14.

Mass will be celebrated:

  • Monday-Friday at 12:05 PM in the Lower Level Prayer Chapel (enter via Sixth St. doors)

  • Saturdays at 5:00 PM (Vigil) in the Main Chapel
    • Except Saturday, 12/24 when Mass will be celebrated at 4:00 PM
  • Sundays at 10:30 AM in the Main Chapel

Reconciliation will be available at 4:00 PM Saturdays (except 12/24) in the Main Chapel

 

Spring 2023
Mass & Sacrament Schedule

Please note changes to the Spring 2023 Mass & Sacrament schedule to accommodate the Chapel Renovation project beginning on December 19.

 

Mass will be celebrated in the Main Chapel:

  • Monday-Friday at 12:05 PM and 8:00 PM

  • Saturdays at 5:00 PM (Vigil)
  • Sundays at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM (Traditional), 5:00 PM (Praise & Worship), and 9:00 PM (Candlelight)

Reconciliation will be available:

  • 9:00 PM Monday-Thursday
  • 4:00 PM Saturday

Adoration is available Monday-Thursday following the 8:00 PM Daily Mass, approximately 8:30 PM-10:00 PM

 

A Novus Ordo Latin Mass will be celebrated on the first Saturday of each month during the Spring semester in the Chapel of the Four Evangelists located on the lower level underneath the Main Chapel. These Masses will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on:

  • February 4
  • March 4
  • April 1
  • May 6

 

NOTE: The Main Chapel will not be open other than during scheduled Mass, Reconciliation, and Adoration times as listed above.

The Prayer Chapel located on the Lower Level will be open to the public for personal prayer from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily, accessible via the Armory St. courtyard entrance. (The Prayer Chapel is accessible to Newman Hall residents 24-hours per day.)

 

 

Mass Intentions

At St. John's Catholic Newman Center, Mass intentions can be scheduled for the repose of the soul of a loved one, for birthday blessings for friends and family, or for special intentions. Mass intentions are only $10 and the best gift you can give someone!
